She's come so far, but there's still so far to go.

What she's waiting for has come closer these past days, this month. Who she's waiting for...

She used to only be in her dreams, hot skin beneath cool sheets, sometimes heavy cotton clinging as sweaty skin rubs in a fervent dance to keep out the cold.

Now she's there when she's closing her eye's to sing, there when she closes her eyes to catch the thread of a song, there when she lets her eyes drift shut against a morning breeze.

She's always there, a comforting prescence just behind her, just ahead. Every so slightly out of reach. She's something mysterious, something wonderful, something light and something dark. Twisted and woven into something indefinable, something this world hasn't seen for many, many years.

I've decided (i.e. it's just occured to me) that my LJ is like a toaster. As far as the rest of the room is concerned I produced nicely toasted little fics, occasionally burned beyond all recognition but occasionally just right to. But my flist *praiseuntothoseenduringsouls* knows there's a lot of dark, crunchy little bits that have fallen where other people can't see. Whyyyyyyyy is noone on #sbl when I am? Do I stay up that hideously late/early? *mrow* Finally figured out how to make GIMP screencapture so I can work with stuff...now I just need to figure out how to 'work with stuff'. There's probably a help manual...but why be dull?

Also; Joined ScriptFrenzy becaus Nano wasn't enough self-abuse. Am bouncing between ideas but think I'm going to finally write the gritty details of << >> *whisper* 'The Project'. More on that on a Flist post sometime when I need to kill some time (it's a long explanation).

While I'm waiting for youtube to load a vid on my hideously slow connection I'm Finally Rotating my icons. Warning you as y'all will probably be asked for help choosing between the 'finalists' as I'm horribly indecisive.

Plan for tommorow: Wake up late. Go to Fencing. Eat with Fencing Guys. Go to used bookstore. Go to Recycle Records (Used Music/DVDs/OtherStuff store). Hit the Nerd Shop and *possibly* actually purchase something besides old Star Trek cards and tiny ninja figures. Hit the mall arcade for a round of Blast-The-Zombie. Hit the antique shop on the way home. Take Nap. Re-caulk the tub. Play with all of the things I accrued on my Cheapo Shopping Binge.

Been running around crazy and while not doing that have been being pelted with Emo-Bunnies of doom. (jusa' little doom. doomdoom.)

On the upside got to watch some Invader ZIM and Trek today so this Break hasn't been a total waste. And I suppose it's a good thing that the house and my room are actually...um...'clean'. 'S kinda creepy really. I'm not used to the place smelling vaguely of Pine-Sol and freshly vacuumed (yes, rooms *can* smell freshy vacuumed) unless I've been reallyreallyreallyreally-uber!pissed. But I kinda been gettin' it done and now it's...clean. Like I said Distuuuurbing.

Also, Flist Mates. Need some Movie suggestions. Am having the house to meself on Friday and wish to spend it with a bag-o-chips and some good movies. Kinda in a Western mood, but feel free to suggest other stuff as well. I would also love it if anyone knows a good DeForest Kelley (that would be Bones McCoy from Trek) movies. He be so cute-n-adorable and just *wannasqueeze* and yet in the Bonanza eps. I've seen him in my immediate reaction is the always embarassing *DROOL* *writegratuitousroughsexfanfic* ....

*fansself* *ahem* as I was saying, anything with him would be great, but I just be wanting some good movies to go with my grease and salt ;)

IT BE SPRING BREAK!!!

Having now slept the requisit 12 Hours after being free of school as of 12pm Thursday I am ready for the Festivities of Break. Which Shall include:

1. Some serious SBL & #SBL time
2. Some Fic Writing
3. ...maybe starting on those essay projects for school...maybe...
4. generally polishing up/ finishing/ improving interweb life for moi. Mostly by just being here to enjoy it.
5. Eating. What-ever and When-ever I want.
6. Fucking Off.
7. Lazing in the Sun and getting nothing in particular done.
8. Rotating my icons

Okay. So I sent my application for the University of Illinois at Springfield about a week ago...

I got a reply yesterday, which I didn't actually read till yesterday night 'cause of my wacked out sleeping habits.

I got Accepted. *Huge grin*. Even though that's not much of a suprise there was somthing that Was and made me grin like a complete idiot and damn near bounce off the walls:

They're offering me Moneys. $2,000 Worth of Monies!!!!! *bounces* It's called the Lincoln Scholar Scholarship (Is anything in IL NOT named after that man?!) and is 'merit-based' and given to those folks who don't qualify for need-based stuff.

Now I haven't gotten word on whether or not I've been accepted into the Honors Program I applied for there. Now if I do get accepted I won't get the Lincoln Scholar Scholarship thing, but I'm guarenteed to get other money at least the the equal of the General App. money offers.

So, am Very Essited. *huge grin* Will be going to college the same place my mom works, but that doesn't bother me. I picked UIS 'cause they're small and have excellent programs in what I'm looking into.

Just *very relieved* that I am, in fact, going to college. Now I just need to call the Military Recruiter Person today and get the Going off to Play Soldier Thing set.

I was just wondering why it is I only seem to be on LJ, at least as an active poster as I'm forever lurking about, only when I'm unhappy or stressed or rather upset with the world. As a belated New Years Res. I'm going to try and share some of the Happy with my Flist. As y'all are so wonderful when I'm not you really ought to get the best (i.e. less rotted and homicidal) parts of me to.

I know it's a bit behind, but I've been busy and sick and have decided that New Year's starts tommorow. 'Cause nobody wants to start a new year with two hospital visits.

Havlock's Life in '08 (the outlook):

-SBL turns a year old. *proud!beam*

-Graduating from High School!!! *happy!dance*

-Enlisting in the National Guard and going to Basic Training over the Summer. As much as I worry about this decision sometimes I still know somewhere in here *heart!thump* that it's the right choice for me.

-Worry about dad's declining health. *nail!bite* I really really wish he would take better care of himself. At least he stoped chewing tobacco.

-Go to College. *bounce* Very much looking forward to this. Have been since I was *way Small* Just *everything* about it.

-I get to be an Independant Adult. Which kinda sucks but is very good. So. um *uncertain \o/*
Off on my own, well not really, but getting that way. *brave smile* ^_^

-I want to have gotten the History of Hrothbert (Now a fucking INSANE 900,000+ words) to the Beta Stage. *desperate!sob* because...if it's not there by the end of '08 *hands* I dunno what I'm gonna do. 'Cause Hrothbert man. You're eating my brain. Really. It's soso much fun going through all the history and writing for you. But there's such a thing as to *Much*. That goes for you to Gwen. This project is going on its THIRD YEAR. It's FANFIC GUYS. Supposed to be shorter. *hint hint*

So, went out today with the Family. Put up with the small one for long enough to get to this cozy little cafe (with free Wi-Fi and absolutely scrumptous bagels). Went to the bookstore and got a bunch of Star Trek: TOS books. Yeah, getting back into the Trek groove, was kicked off a few weeks ago by a new S/Mc Fic I found and being remembered that the the New Trek Movie is COMING!!!!!!!! No idea when...but we have Casting Decisions! *dances*

Trying to write some. Just very tired/sick/busy. Life man. *sigh*

I HAVE GIMP. *mwhahahahaha*. Now I just have to figure out how to work the damn thing.

Let the two-hour download do its stuff while I watched the election returns for NH. *facepalm* Robot Woman looks to have won. But our man Obama gave a kickass speech nonetheless.

On top of that I have no idea where the frak my new schedule is, as I've got new semester classes. So I get to run up to the guidance people first thing and go 'can I have another one?' *sigh* and they'll *glare* and moan and bitch and I'll *strained smile*

very tired today, SNF nurse was back, said I'll be fit and fine in a day or two. more \o/.

Got discharged 'bout an hour and half ago after insisting that I damn well wanted to sleep in my own bed I didn't care what the hour was, 'cause I don't like Hospitals. Said good by to SNF nurse, and nice doc whose name turned out to be Kirk. Asked him where his Bones was and he looked at me wierd.

Am very happy to be home in my own bed. I'll do all those things I need to be doing tommorow, you know what they are. I plan on sleeping 'till at least noon.

am hideously sick. Stomach Flu. Everything hurts, cannot think straight, blazing headache and dull ache everywhere else. Lucky if I can keep water and bread down.
